A Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company is seeking an experienced Billing Supervisor to oversee insurance billing operations. This role ensures accurate claims processing, compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations, and efficient revenue cycle management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in DME billing, team leadership, and resolving billing discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise billing staff, ensuring accurate and timely claims submission.
• Oversee insurance verification, prior authorizations, and reimbursement processes.
• Monitor compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance regulations.
• Investigate and resolve claim denials, appeals, and billing discrepancies.
• Collaborate with customer service and accounting teams to optimize the revenue cycle.
• Train and mentor billing staff on best practices and regulatory changes.
• Generate reports on billing performance, collections, and outstanding claims.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of DME billing experience, including insurance claims and reimbursement processes.
• Supervisory or team lead experience in medical billing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HCPCS coding, EDI billing, and payer guidelines.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing.
• Proficiency in DME billing software and EHR systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
